Hyderabad: BJP is looking for the Adityanath-type leader in Paripoornananda
HYDERABAD: A grand welcome has been planned by BJP, VHP, RSS,
Dal and several other Hindutva organisations for Paripoornananda Swami on
Tuesday. This assumes significance going by discussions in the
BJP to make the
seer contest for an MP or MLA seat in Hyderabad.
The party is contemplating fielding him for an LS seat from Secunderabad or Malkajgiri or for an assembly seat from Karwan or Chandrayangutta. The Hindutva organisations have decided to use the externment of the seer to rake up votes on Hindu plank.
BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar reached Vijayawada to welcome Swami on Tuesday when he arrives from his mutt in Kakinada. "I have already told on the floor of the Assembly that Telangana needs a leader like Yogi Adityanath. Time will decide when Swamy Paripoornanda will come into politics. The decision has to be taken at the highest level," the Uppal BJP MLA told TOI.
A source said that 10 days ago, Swami Paripoornananda met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Bengaluru. Besides this, during the recent RSS internal coordination meet, it was decided to encourage leadership who can speak local languages in South.
VHP state president M Rama Raju on Monday said, "KCR's government behaved similarly to the Nizam's government in expelling Swami. Even the Nizam didn't take such drastic steps against Hindus, but KCR is using all his power. Police arbitrarily expelled Swami. The High Court has given a tight slap to the government on the issue by staying the externment. On September 4, Swamy after starting from his Sri Peetam in Kakinada will reach Hyderabad via Suryapet. By 2.45pm, he will reach Hayathnagar. At this point, people will gather in large numbers and welcome him. From there he will move into the city via LB Nagar, Dilshukangar, Malakpet. Chaderghat to Basheerbagh Nagalaxmi temple where he will offer special pooja."
Later he will garland the Ambedkar statute at Tankbund and then move toward his ashram in Jubilee Hills. BJP MLA Raja Singh is organising considerable support to welcome Swami.
BJP MLC N Ramchander Rao told TOI, "Swami Paripoornananda has a huge following among tribals. He commands respect from Hindus. Currently, no decision has been taken on his political entry. Swamy hasn't expressed his opinion on this. It will be speculative if I speak about his political entry."
In July, BJP state president K Laxman didn't rule out Swamy contesting elections. The seer was not available for comment on Monday.
