Jet Airways management proposes to suspend all operations: report
NEW DELHI: The management of Jet Airways has proposed to suspend all
operations of the debt-laden Indian airline at its board meeting,
sources told ET Now on Tuesday.
Sources also stated that former chairman Naresh Goyal had withdrawn from making a bid for a stake in the company. Goyal had stepped down as chairman of the carrier last month.
Goyal along with his wife Anita stepped down from the board of the airline which has more than Rs 8,000 crore debt.
Jet did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
SBI Capital Markets has the mandate for Jet Airways' sale on behalf of the SBI-led consortium of the domestic lenders to the debt-ridden private carrier.
