Shooting for the second schedule of Gujarati horror comedy Affraa Tafri to start soon

Vandha Vilas actor Vaishakh Rathod who has also acted in Bollywood movies like Manto and Saheb, Biwi aur Gangster is all set for his next Gujarati film directed by Family Circus director Viral Rao.
“The movie Affraa Tafri is a horror comedy that has never been tried in Dhollywood before. We have finished the first schedule of the film that has been shot in a palace in Chhota Udepur, a colonial building in a village in Gandhinagar and Siddhpur forest,” Vaishakh who will be seen in the film that also stars Mitra Gadhvi, Shekhar Shukla, Prashant Barot and Khushi Shah said.

Director Viral Rao said, “The shooting of the second schedule will begin by April 24. The concept of this movie was in my mind even before I did Family Circus. It is a fun film and the horror part comes after the interval. That is all I can reveal right now.”

“I am playing the role of a wedding decorator in the film. It is a funny character and I am enjoying my part,” Vaishakh who is also a poet and whose national award winning book ‘Surname’ is a part of Central University syllabus said.
“I am glad that I got to gift it to Nawazuddin Siddiqui while shooting for Manto,” he says. On his experience while working for Nandita Das’s film, he said, “I got a chance to play a small character in the film. My only experience was that I got a chance to interact with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. I learned how to stay humble despite being a star from him. I liked the way he works and behaves with people on the set.”
Besides Affraa Tafri, Vaishakh also plans to release two of his books this year. “While Mahashweta Deviji has written a forward to my compilation of poems Sandook, I also plan to release a non-fiction book based on the transgender community in Gujarat.”

We wish the actor who has done plays like Akoopar and Kasturba the best for his upcoming film.
