First woman disturbs the second marriage of the leader of the congress & s son
KOLAR: High drama marked the wedding reception of the son of
a Congress leader in
Kolar on Saturday evening when his first wife stormed into the
venue and halted the function midway, citing that the divorce
between the two has not yet been pronounced.
The function began around 7.30pm at Shanti Kalyana Mantapa and Kolar MP KH Muniyappa, Bangarpet MLA SN Narayanaswamy and others wished Vishwa Mohan and his bride. At 8.30pm, Sandhya Rani, the first wife of Vishwa, and her supporters entered the choultry. Rani questioned Vishwa’s father PM Venkatapatheppa and his wife as to how they’re conducting the marriage of their son when the divorce case is still pending in the high court.
When they failed to give a convincing reply, Rani sat in front of the stage where the groom and the bride were standing to greet visitors. Soon, those gathered at the venue started leaving.
Rani, a BE graduate, is an employee at Kolar Chikkaballapura Cooperative Milk Union Limited, while Vishwa is unemployed. Before marriage, parents of Vishwa had allegedly told Rani’s family that Vishwa has completed MSc. The two got married at Mulbagal in 2015.
Later, Rani learnt that he was a class IX failed person and that his parents had forged his certificates. As the relationship turned bitter, a divorce petition was filed in Kolar court which ruled in favour of Vishwa. However, Rani approached the high court which had stayed the order of the lower court.
Rani, who learnt about Venkatapatheppa’s move to get his son married again, reportedly warned him against it. However, Venkatapatheppa went ahead with it.
Meanwhile, Rani approached Kolar police, seeking to a stay on the marriage. When the parents of both the groom and the bride went ahead with the plan, Rani visited the reception venue, sources said.
