CBI should investigate the Kodanad burglary case, says Divakaran

Coimbatore: Jailed AIDAMK leader VK Sasikala’s brother V Divakaran took a wary stand on former Tehelka editor Mathew Samuel’s report that claimed a link between chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and the burglary at Kodanad estate. The CBI should conduct an investigation as the CM is involved, Divakaran told reporters here. “Whether there is a link between the chief minister and the burglary is yet to be seen. The journalist has to provide evidence,” he said. “Nobody can hide their involvement however powerful they are. So many politicians, bureaucrats and ministers are behind bars.” Speaking on the controversy and ongoing investigation into J Jayalalithaa’s death, Divakaran said, “Certain people, for their own political interests, are creating controversy.” TNN
